Jane Jenkins Oliver died of cancer on August 22, 1992 at the far too young age of 38. She attended Art Spiegelman's underground cartooning class at the San Francisco Art Academy and became involved with the Newave network in 1976 while studying art at Sonoma State University.
She is perhaps best known for her work of Tales of Jerry. Jane also edited several comic series including Dance of Death, Pagan Comix and Vampire Vignettes, all of whom were published by Geerdes.
