Women, Flying Hats, & Other Cool Stuff is a meticulously disorganised collection of most important and unseen works of the graphic artist Rafael Silveira. Oil paintings, mixed media sketches and digital illustrations never published before are presented here side by side with awarded works and a mix of related stuff, selected by only one criteria: they are the artist's favorites. The retro atmosphere of the classic illustrations from the '40s and '50s smash right through Silveira's sarcasm, creating a visual universe that is both hilarious and disturbing. Women, Flying Hats, & Other Cool Stuff is also the first Brazilian publication to come with an art toy. The box is specially designed to accomodate an inflatable pin-up. The result takes the breath away and transforms the book in a piece of art.
