Kurtzmans' contributions to the world of cartooning can be summed up with one word: monumental. To say that he influenced and continues to influence generations of cartoonists is an understatement: he single-handedly changed the way an entire nation looked at itself. Though MAD Magazine is probably what he is best known for, his earlier work also provides insight into his artwork and his personal views.
