Uncle Sham #2! Comix as American as apple-pie... that's been burnt to a crisp and spiked with LSD!
Dave Geiser's acid-burned mine-field Uncle Sham #2 features Spiggy Duck, Dicky Mouse, Felix Fartsniffer, "Mama" Tacone, Fatback Porker, metaphysical clown chaos in "Giant Jesus," deranged Disney-esque characters in "Crank Case" and the queasily satiric "Uncle Sham Ethnic Prime'em"...! Printed in 1971.
His illustration style is often dense, like S. Clay Wilson's, and every bit as grotesque, but Geiser's eccentric world is grounded in a dark reality that Wilson rarely touches with his ornate, costumed fantasies. Even when Geiser explores a hallucinogenic trip with his characters, they are typically harrowing rides through a sticky corridor of debauchery.
