Yet another long out of print vintage underground comic discovered in the back corners of the Last Gasp basement. Tejano Exile by Jack Jaxon is the true story of Juan N. Seguin and the Texas-Mexicans after the battle of San Jacinto in 1836. This is a classic historical tale of the old west told with beautifully rendered artwork. Jaxon was a contemporary of R. Crumb and drew with a similar style filled with wonderfully cross hatched details. This is an exciting wild west story full of gun fights and huge battle scenes that rage across the page. This comic could be taught in a history class, yet contains enough excitement and great art to satisfy any underground comics aficionado.
