Welcome to the Fright Side! Come and join Hannah Marie on her very first Halloween adventure with her Scary Godmother. This instant classic is the writing debut of popular Sandman illustrator Jill Thompson, who has also lavishly painted each page in her own unique and enchanting way. Suitable for readers of All Ages.
Told in often-rhyming prose and word balloons on vibrant pages that balance a visually lavish picture book aesthetic with sequential-art page composition, the stories burst with complex color tones and creepy cartoon figures... With a sense of weird, Seussian fun, Thompson casts Halloween monsters as the most inviting group of playmates ever, and young readers will want to visit them again and again. This book deserves a prime place in every graphic novel collection.
