From the folks who brought you Suits Made to Fit, this gorgeusly-designed, boxed art book documents the Action Reaction project undertaken by Adrian Lee. The project centers around 50 mixed-media paintings on wood, heavily influenced by street art, graffiti, sign painting, tattooing, Japanese prints, politics and paranoia. When placed together as one body of work, all fit together and exist as one massive panoramic painting: a cynical, unforgiving, fact-based onslaught of imagery, exposing subverted truths and forgotten pasts. The book is printed accordion-style on heavy, glossy paper; once unfolded it stretches about 20 feet, so you can see the entire project as it was originally intended. The box includes a DVD further documenting the project, including a time lapse from 60 hours worth of tape compressed down to thirty minutes, documenting the entire process of painting the panels over ten months, allowing the creative process to unfold in fast time. Plus stickers and an "Action Reaction" embroidered patch.
